About 55,360 tons of phosphate concentrate were produced by Iran’s main producer of the processed mineral, Esfordi Phosphate Industrial and Mineral Complex, from March 2015 to January 2016, indicating a 30% increase compared to the similar period of last year, Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization reported on its website. The factory, which is based in Yazd Province, is a subsidiary of IMIDRO. Phosphate concentrate is used in the production of paint, chemical fertilizers, detergents and animal and poultry feed.
