Deputy Minister of Industries, Mining and Trade Jafar Sargheyni said the mining sector's growth is expected to stand at 4% and 12% for the current Iranian year (to end March 19, 2016) and the following year respectively.
With a 9.8% growth, Iran's mining sector was the best performing sector of the economy last year, Mehr News Agency reported. Data provided by the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade indicate that the industry and mining sectors together accounted for 1.2% of the 3% economic growth last year.
