Iranian Ceramics Producers Syndicate has advised tile and ceramics manufacturers to halt production as of March 5 for three months, amid a construction slump and domestic market glut. “A majority of manufacturers are working at half capacity, which is uneconomical,” ISNA quoted director general of the syndicate, Behnam Azizzadeh, as saying. According to the official, 300 million square meters of products are piled up in warehouses.
