More than $455 million worth of cement were exported from March to December 2015, indicating a 33% decline compared to last year’s similar period and accounting for 1.7% of the country’s total export value for the corresponding period, IRNA reported. According to the report, $32.3 billion worth of non-oil goods were exported during the nine-month period, registering a 4% drop in value compared to the previous year. Iran was the world’s biggest exporter of cement in the last Iranian year (ended March 20, 2015) with shipment of 19 million tons. In terms of production, the country ranks first in the Middle East and fourth in the world.
