Export Development Bank of Iran has created a €20 million credit line to ease exports to Russia, says the bank’s chief executive. “Currently, Russian companies are interested in importing Iranian foodstuff and facilitating banking relations with Russia is of great importance,” Ali Salehabadi has been quoted as saying by IRNA. Iran’s main exports to Russia include agricultural and dairy products. Russian Agriculture Minister Alexander Nikolayevich Tkachyov spoke of plans to establish a “green corridor” for trade of agricultural products between Iran and Russia in a meeting with his Iranian counterpart, Mahmoud Hojjati, in Tehran last month.
