Major European car makers are likely to attend a car industry conference in Iran on the first of December. The Second International Auto Conference will have delegations from Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Volvo, Fiat, Skoda , Renault and Peugeot from Europe and Toyota, Hyundai, KIA and the Roewe (Rover) from the Far East, according to the event’s organizer Sasan Qorbani.
American car makers have also been invited and “In case of desirable conditions, General Motors and Ford will attend the event,” Qorbani said. 148 foreign guests from 30 countries will attend the event, which will be held for two months. These guestsinclude major auto-parts manufacturers like Siemens AG, Bosch GmbH. The Iranian vice president, the minister of industry, mine and trade and the head of the Organization for Investment Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran will give speeches at the conference.
