Bank Saderat Iran’s new service, called “indemnity card,” would enable insurance companies settle policyholders’ losses directly through debit cards. According to the BSI website, the bank aims to shorten the bureaucracy related to claims settlement. Currently, insurance companies process claims by issuing checks which is a lengthy process. The cards can be used in SHETAB - Interbank Information Transfer Network of Iran.
