A representative of Premium Tobacco International, a major tobacco dealer, visited Tehran on Sunday and met with the head of Iranian Tobacco Company over a previous tobacco deal for which Premium Tobacco was not paid.
Shane Heppell, the company’s sales director, told Financial Tribune that based on a tender the company won in 2013, Premium Tobacco was to supply ITC with 5 million kg of tobacco.
He says about 3 million kg have been delivered so far, while the company has been paid for only 1 million kg of the overall figure.
The privately-owned company is currently based in Dubai.
