Following the lifting of the sanctions on January 16, the central bank has published a set of guidelines for foreign investment in the Iranian insurance market in a bid to clarify rules and regulations related to the key industry. The guidelines also elaborate procedures for starting an insurance company both in mainland and the Free Trade Zones, as well as the capital requirement for insurance firms in different categories, Risknews website reported Thursday.
