More than 134 kg of 24-carat gold bars with an average purity of 99.8% as well as over 100 kg of silver were produced by Zarshouran Mining and Industrial Complex from March to December 21, 2015, according to managing director of the mine, Mohammad Reza Ahmadi. The highest monthly output was registered in December at 21 kg of gold bars, Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization reported on its website. Zarshouran–an IMIDRO subsidiary–is located in West Azarbaijan Province.
