Central Bank of Iran and Russia’s Union Card Company are planning to connect the two countries’ payment systems and issue joint bank cards. The Central Bank of Russia also announced Monday that Iran and Russia intend to enhance banking relations after sanctions on Iran officially ended at the weekend, IRNA reported on Teusday. Union Card was established in 1997 and joined Russia’s local payment network ‘MIR’ in Sept. 2015.
