The Switzerland-based LafargeHolcim Group–one of the global leaders of building materials sector–has expressed readiness to cooperate with Iran’s Fars and Khuzestan Cement Company in cement production after sanctions imposed on Iran’s nuclear energy program are lifted, says Morteza Lotfi, deputy head of Cement Industry Employers Association. LafargeHolcim operates in 90 countries with 115,000 employees and focuses on production of cement, aggregates and concrete. Iran was the biggest exporter and the fourth largest producer of cement in the world in 2014, following China, India and the United States, IRNA reported.
