The value of Bank Melli Iran’s Qarzol-Hasaneh (interest-free) deposits stand at 72 trillion rials ($2.3 billion), said Abdolnasser Hemmati, the bank CEO. He added that BMI’s interest-free loans during the nine months ending December 21 amounted to 46 trillion rials ($1.5 billion), Mehr News Agency reported on Thursday. A part of the deposits was allocated to charities for job creation programs.
