Banning Ads

Following a request by the Central Bank of Iran, the Communication Regulatory Authority of Iran has banned unauthorized financial institutions from sending SMS ads. The CBI has also taken up the issue with the state broadcaster and recommended it not carry ads from unauthorized lenders and institutions on the state-owned TV and radio channels, Mehr News Agency reported on Saturday. Such institutions use SMS ads to attract depositors while their operations are not certified by the CBI.
