Weekly Stock Market Report

Tehran Stock Exchange’s all-share index TEDPIX rose 270 points or 0.44% during the past week compared to the previous trading week to end at 61,691. More than 2.2 billion shares changed hands in 159,000 transactions valued at $114.7 million, indicating an 8%, 4.7% and 8.7% rise in weekly trade volume, number of transactions and trade value compared to last week respectively. According to TSE data, the First Market Index jumped 134 points or 0.32% to close at 42,301, and the Second Market Index gained 914 points or 0.66% to settle at 139,984. The medical and optics equipment sector with 21.08% was the top weekly gainer. Meanwhile, Iran Fara Bourse’s main index IFX gained 9.1 points or 1.3% to finish at 685 during the same week. According to IFB, more than 631 million securities were traded in 78,000 transactions valued at $183 million. Weekly trade volume and value filed a 21% and 1% retreat compared to the previous trading week. Furthermore, IFB’s market cap rose 0.7%. Base metals with 16% took the top spot among weekly gainers.
