Over 355,000 tons of various commodities were traded on the spot market at the Iran Mercantile Exchange within the week ended Oct 22, valued at more than 7.4 trillion rials, IME’s public relations and foreign affairs reported.
Within the week, more than 198,000 tons of commodities valued at nearly 3.8 trillion rials were traded at the mining and industrial trading hall, both for domestic traders and foreign customers.
According to the report, 186 tons of different types of steel, 3,160 tons of aluminum, 8,450 tons of copper, 100 tons of zinc, 100 tons of molybdenum concentrate, 9 tons of precious metals concentrate, and 2 kilo gram of gold bullion were traded by the relevant traders.
It’s been marked that copper trades surged 105 percent compared to last week’s trades.
Furthermore, 157 tons of commodities were traded at the oil and petrochemical trading floor, valued at about 3.538 trillion rials.
Following the oil and petrochemical offerings, 74,000 tons of bitumen of various grades, 44,000 tons of polymers, 13,000 tons of vacuum bottom, 3,250 tons of lube-cat, 18,000 tons of chemicals, 2,700 tons of sulfur, 1,300 tons of insulation, and 150 tons of gas and feedstock were traded at their relevant domestic and export trading halls.
Moreover, 250 tons of maize, 200 tons of barley, and 80 tons of soybean meal were offered at the agricultural trading floor.
