Banks lent 1.86 quadrillion rials ($61.38 billion at the official exchange rate) in the first seven months of the fiscal year (ends March 19, 2016), marking an increase of 5% or 88.6 trillion rials ($2.92 billion) compared to the same period last year. According to data published by the Central bank of Iran on Wednesday, the services sector received 712 trillion rials ($23.5 billion) which indicates a growth of 38.3% compared to the same period last year. Industries and the mining got 29.3% at 544 trillion rials ($17.95 billion) which was 1.3% or equal to 7.2 trillion rials ($237 million) less than the year before.
