The Mining Investment Insurance Fund’s capital assets have been raised by $25 million to reach $1.4 billion. The fund was established in 2001 with the aim of supporting private sector investment in mining projects. According to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation, more than 90% of Iran’s 5,400 active mines are managed by the private sector.
