Bitumen, Polymers Major Offers at IME

Close to 300,000 tons of commodities were offered on Tuesday at Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), where different Iranian petrochemical and chemical companies offered 45 grades of polymers.

Based on a report by the IME public relations department, 59,000 tons of different types and grades of polymers were offered on oil and petrochemical products trading floor. The offers were made by Arvand, Amirkabir, Abadan, Aryasasol, Bandar Imam, Takhte Jamshid, Tondgooyan, Jam, Regal, Shazand, Ghadeer, Laleh, Marun, Mehr, Jam Polypropylene, and Kermanshah petrochemical companies. The commodities, with a total weight of nearly 60,000 tons, were exchanged in addition to 40,200 tons of bitumen and 600 tons of sulfur lumps.

Jey Oil Company also announced it would offer 102,000 tons of different grades of bitumen if there’s buying demand out there. Other companies also offered bitumen of different grades, including Pasargad Oil, Fouman Shimi Gostar, and Akam Bitumen. Dealers and investors were also offered the opportunity to buy as much as 2,500 tons of heavy slack wax offered by Behran Oil Company.

The soft commodity trading floor witnessed the exchange of 2,550 tons of commodities including white sugar, durum wheat, and flint corn offered by Bardsir Sugar Company and Shirvan Sugar Company.
