Iran’s Association of Olive Oil said producers are expected to yield around 11,000 tons of the product, reported Mehrnews. Mohammad Hatefi, the head of the association, said out of 110,000 tons of olives expected to be harvested this year, 70,000 tons would be used to make oil. Iran is one of the major olive producers in the world. Leading olive growing regions in the country include Fars, Qazvin, Gilan, and Zanjan provinces.
