The current payment system meets domestic needs but would be insufficient for addressing the demand of international transactions, said the head of Monetary and Banking Research Center, Ali Divandari. He said that multiple forex rates would disturb transactions, IRNA reported on Monday. Even if “we reconnect to the international (financial and banking) systems, the difference in the market and official exchange rates will indeed be a major impediment.”
