Mineral exploration over an area of 44,800 square kilometers from the city of Abadeh in the north of Fars Province to Jaz Murian basin in the south of Kerman Province has been launched by Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization, announced the Industries, Mining and Trade Organization of Kerman Province. Minerals such as chromite, titanium, copper and iron ore have so far been discovered in the zone, according to the organization. The exploration project will be finalized in early 2016, IRNA reported. South Kerman is the third largest mineral-rich zone of Iran.
