The French FIVES Group and the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization signed an agreement on establishing a joint aluminum anode production company through joint investment, IMIDRO reported on Wednesday. The agreement was signed in a meeting between Mehdi Karbasian, deputy minister of industries, mining and trade, and a representative of FIVES in Tehran. Anode, a material derived mainly from petroleum coke, is a primary raw material in the production of aluminum. The Lille-based company, with 203 years of experience in the field, designs and supplies machines, process equipment and production lines for the world’s largest industries in aluminum, steel, glass, automotive, aerospace, logistics, cement, energy and sugar sectors.
