The Central Insurance of Iran company’s department for reinsurance is planning to expand to a separate entity under a ‘Iranian national reinsurance company’. Mohammad Ibrahim Amin, CII president, pointed to the independent structure of reinsurance activities Sunday and said, “in case the government decides on separating the company, it can be done by just adding an investment unit.” CII’s public relations quoted him as saying on Sunday. He stressed the importance of insurers being efficient and respectful to promote the quality of services, and said, “The common perception about insurers, as a group of con men who are kind when selling insurance policy but fail to deliver when it comes to paying claims should change.”
