The process of customs clearance has been reduced from 26 days to six, after the launch of a website for cargo declaration, Foroud Asgari, head of the Import Department of Iran Customs Administration said.”The website is aimed at assisting customers, facilitating goods clearance and reducing customs-related problems,” he said, adding that it will help reduce clearance formalities and save time. Asgari declared that owners of commodities can conduct all customs formalities such as documentation, cargo declaration, authentication and other procedures through the website. As the government has ratified policies for ending economic recession, it must make efforts to pave the way for implementing these policies.
