A band of criminals trying to hack into Bank Melli’s accounts was identified and stopped by the timely reaction of the bank’s officials in cooperation with Tehran’s Intelligence Bureau, reported ISNA. Hamid Parizi, deputy economy minister said the hackers “with help from overseas” were trying to move huge amounts of money to some bureau de change’s accounts for an ultimate transfer to other foreign accounts. He did not say if any arrests were made.
