The Money and Credit Council is set to review nine items of government’s new economic policy package at its Tuesday meeting, Mehr news agency reported on Monday. The 30-point economic plan, announced on Saturday, is devised to, among other things, help the economy out of recession. An action plan to implement the economic package for the second half of the Iranian year (started March 21) and cutting interest rates are among the top policy issues.  The meeting also will address seven other topics, including managing banks’ assets, setting credit standards, promoting financial transparency and timely release of data. Jobs  for the low-income groups and offering construction loans through Bank Maskan are among other issues on the MCC agenda.
