26,000 tons of 36 different types of oil and petroleum commodities were to be traded at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on the week’s first working day, the IME’s international affairs and public relations reported. Different petrochemical complexes offered more than 26,000 tons of commodities on the oil and petrochemical trading floor on Saturday. According to the report, 33,800 tons of bitumen of different grades were offered by the Jey Oil Refining Company, Pasargad Oil Company and Tabriz Oil Refining Company. Besides, 100 tons of insulation was likely to be traded on the IME board. The IME is becoming a serious regional platform for various commodities as the trade mechanism is transparent and prices remain competitive.
