The Central Bank of Iran announced Wednesday that any revision in its regulations would only “change the structure” of the Money and Credit Council and the MCC’s duties would remain intact. The CBI’s new draft laws suggest a division in its policymaking bodies. The announcement came after recent press reports hinted that the MCC (an affiliate of the CBI) would be dissolved as part of CBI’s shakeup plans.
