Kish International Exhibitions Center will host the First International Exhibition of Gold, Jewelry, Silver, Gemstones and Related Industries dubbed “Kish Goldex” during November 3-6.
The participants are categorized into three groups of “manufacturers of tools, equipment and machinery used in the jewelry industry”, “jewelry and gemstone producers” and “sales and marketing companies”, IRNA reported.
Jewelry sets, gemstones, tools and equipment used in making jewelry, engraving, casting and cutting machines, as well as anti-theft doors and bulletproof glasses are to be showcased in the event.
Besides domestic firms, companies from Turkey, Italy and India have already signed up to take part in the exhibition.
The exhibition is being organized by Kish Free Zone Organization and Iran Gold, Jewelry, Silver and Gemstones Importers and Exporters Union in cooperation with the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran.
The exhibit is aimed at promoting domestic products, increasing exports and empowering Iranian companies through transfer of technology from leading global players.
Despite sizable reserves of gold, silver and gemstones, jewelry imports are considerable in the domestic market.
