The CEO of Bank Keshavarzi (agro bank) says his bank has been approved by regulatory bodies as the official agent for purchasing key agricultural products. According to the bank’s website, Morteza Shahidzadeh referred to plans for turning the agro bank’s overdrafts from the CBI to credit line and use it to increase its capital. The important lender has already allocated 92 trillion rials ($3 billion) for guaranteed purchase of wheat from local farmers.
