Minister of Roads Abbas Akundi announced that the one-billion rial construction loan bill for builders is now pending approval of the Money and Credit Council. According to Jamshid Barzegar, the head of Tehran Builders’ Union, no deposits are required for the loans and it can be transferred to home-buyers after construction work is over. The loans will be allocated to projects with more than 20% development at 14%.
