UK chargé d’affaires to Iran, Ajay Sharma, paid a visit to the head of Securities and Exchange Organization in Iran, Mohammad Fetanat, and expressed Britain’s readiness to form collaboration between Iran’s equity market and London Stock Exchange, SENA reported. Sharma said Britain’s extensive experience in financial instruments, including futures and options contracts can help Iran expand its capital market. Fetanat referred to the Iranian capital market’s untapped potential and said SEO is moving to boost transparency and encourage listed companies to observe International Financial Reporting Standards.
