Tehran Stock Exchange’s downward spiral continued on Monday with the benchmark recording its lowest level in two years. The TEDPIX shed 225.20 points or 0.37% to end at 61,328.

According to TSE data, the Price Index lost 88.30 points or 0.37% to close at 24,044.8. The First Market Index was down 288.70 points or 0.67% to settle at 42,525.9. The Second Market Index gained 239.60 points or 0.18% to reach 136,366.6. The Industry Index fell 129.70 points or 0.26% to settle at 50,507.5. The Free Float Index plunged 577.47 points or 0.84% to end at 67,811.10. The TSE 30 Index lost 18.30 points or 0.69% to hit 2,616 and the TSE 50 Index inched down 8.10 points or 0.32% to end at 2,500.4.

More than 620 million shares worth $51.4 million changed hands to register a 24% increase in trade volume and a 6% decrease in trade value.

More than 79% of the listed companies weighed on the benchmark. Isfahan Oil Refining Company with 54.11 points was the primary straggler followed by Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company and Iran Telecommunications Company with 52.78 and 46 points respectively.

MAPNA Group with a P/E ratio of 12 and 73 points provided the biggest boost to TEDPIX followed by Persian Gulf Petrochemicals Company and Mobin Petrochemicals with 46.83 and 35.23 points respectively.
