Head of the Securities and Exchange Organization Mohammad Fatanat held talks with his Luxembourg counterpart Robert Scharfe on Saturday over potential cooperation between the two stock markets.
Noting that the TSE has about 50 years of experience and is one of the oldest stock markets in the Middle East, Fetanat called for close interaction with Luxembourg Stock Exchange, IRNA reported. With over 26,000 bonds on offer, the Luxembourg bourse has the largest debt security listing of any European exchange, making it a crucial partner for a country that looks to tap international debt markets as soon as sanctions on Iran are lifted.
