More than 539,000 tons of commodities valued at $160 million were traded at Iran Mercantile Exchange during the week that ended September 2. The industrial and mining trading floor witnessed the trade of 261,920 tons of commodities valued at 67.7 million. More than 89,490 tons of steel, 165,000 tons of iron ore, 4,200 tons of copper, 130 tons of molybdenum, 3,000 tons of aluminum and 25 kg of gold bullion were among the commodities traded there, the IME reported. Close to 254,848 tons of commodities worth more than $79.8 million were also traded on local and export oil and petrochemical trading floors, including 106,618 tons of various grades of bitumen, 28,684 tons of polymers, 76,000 tons of vacuum bottoms, 20,500 tons of lube-cut oil, 15,518 tons of chemicals, 1,818 tons of roof insulation as well as 5,700 tons of sulfur. Elsewhere, the agricultural trading floor registered the trade of 13,845 tons of white sugar, 7,880 tons of corn, 400 tons of unprocessed vegetable oil, 500 tons of wheat and 25 tons of beet pulp.
