About 150,000 tons of bitumen, sulfur and roof insulation were offered on Iran Mercantile Exchange’s export trading floor on Tuesday.

The floor played host to more than 112,000 tons of various grade of bitumen offered by major local suppliers, including Jey Oil Refining Company and Hormozgan Oil Company. In addition, 30,000 tons of granulated sulfur by Kharg Petrochemical Complex at the base price of $144 per ton, 5,000 tons of granulated iron ore by Imam Khomeini Oil Refining Company of Shazand priced at $85 per ton as well as 500 tons of roof insulation were listed there.

The oil and petrochemical trading floor witnessed the offering of 54,189 tons of polymers, including styrene butadiene rubber, various grades of polyethylene, polystyrene, polypropylene and polyvinyl acetate. Moreover, 62,600 tons of bitumen and 12,000 tons of vacuum bottoms were listed on this floor.

Elsewhere, the agricultural trading floor saw the offering of 15,000 tons of wheat, 4,000 tons of white sugar, 4,500 tons of unprocessed vegetable oil, 1,000 tons of soybean meal flakes, 130 tons of rice and 25 tons of beet pulp.

Finally, the industrial and mining trading floor registered the offering of 13,692 tons of rebar bundles offered by Isfahan Steel Company at the base price of 13,400 rials.

Overall, close to 317,000 tons of various commodities were supplied in a bustling trading day in IME’s spot market.
