After days of rout at Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX staged a tepid rally on Saturday thanks to the banking and auto sectors' outperformance.
According to TSE data, the benchmark gained 245.1 points or 0.38% to close at 64,451.3. The Price Index rose 96.8 points or 0.38% to end at 25,478.3. The First Market Index added 227.1 points or 0.5% to settle at 45,678.9. The Second Market Index advanced 232 points or 0.17% to 137,819. The Industry Index was up 139.4 points or 0.26% to 53,100.9. The Free Float Index rose 476.89 points or 0.66% to 72,711.7. The TSE 30 Index perked up 15.7 points or 0.55% to 2,853.1 and the TSE 50 Index pulled higher 11 points or 0.42% to stand at 2,643.9.
More than 589 million shares changed hands valued at $30.78 million.
Around 51% of listed companies ended in green. National Iranian Copper Industries Company with 38.51 points provided the biggest boost to TEDPIX followed by Bank Saderat and Bank Mellat with close to 32 and 30 points respectively.
Ghadir Investment Company with -12.61 points was the biggest laggards followed by Mobile Telecommunications Company of Iran and Tose'e Melli Investment Company with almost -8 and -4 points respectively.
