Aluminum Production Up 4%

Three prominent aluminum plants, IRALCO, Almahdi and Hormozal, have produced more than 123,000 tons of ingots since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21), which shows a 4% increase compared to the similar period of last year, according to Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization. IRALCO, with a production of more than 60,000 tons of aluminum ingots during the period, was the leading producer of the metal, followed by Hormozal and Almahdi each producing 35,000 and 28,000 tons of ingots respectively, IRNA reported.
