Trade value at Iran Fara Bourse during the week that ended August 19 rose 45% compared to the prior trading week. However, more than 597 million securities were traded to post a 59% retreat in weekly trade volume,  IFB reported. The overall index (IFX) plunged 32.3 points or 4.1% to close at 750. IFB market cap also registered a 2.13% decline. The First Market witnessed the sales of 58 million securities valued at $5.42 million to post 20% and 33% growth in trade volume and value respectively. The Secondary Market saw the sales of 331 million securities valued at $20.3 million to register 65% and 39% increase in trade volume and value respectively. Some 26 million securities valued at $1.17 billion were traded in the Modern Financial Instrument Market, recording 47% and 151% growth in trade volume and value respectively. The banking sector with 1% growth posted the highest trade volume followed by investment companies and chemicals.
