Close to 160,000 tons of various commodities, including 110,000 tons of granulated iron ore, were offered on Iran Mercantile Exchange for export on Wednesday.
The export trading floor played host to 110,000 tons of granulated iron ore offered by Sangan Iron Ore Complex and priced at $18 per ton; 30,000 tons of granulated sulfur by Kharg Petrochemical Complex at the base price of $154 per ton and 7,000 tons of sulfur lumps by Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company priced at $144 per ton for potential customers overseas. The floor also witnessed the offering of 10,000 tons of bitumen 6070, 4,000 tons of bitumen 85100, 340 tons of roof insulation as well as 200 tons of bitumen 6070.
The industrial and mining trading floor featured 96,000 tons of rebar and I-beam bundles at the base price of 14,120 rials per kg, 1,367 tons of rebar bundles A3-32 and 726 tons of I-beam 12 offered by Isfahan Steel Company. Furthermore, 3,300 tons of hot-rolled steel sheets and 1,500 tons of aluminum ingots of 99.75% purity offered by Hormozal Steel Company were listed on the same floor.
About 82,000 tons of various grades of bitumen, 35,000 tons of vacuum bottoms, 25,649 tons of chemicals and 280 tons of liquidated argon gas were supplied on the oil and petrochemical trading floor.
Elsewhere, 15,000 tons of wheat, 4,500 tons of white sugar, 2,000 tons of vegetable oil and 2,000 tons of soybean meal flakes were offered on the agricultural trading floor.
All in all, more than 435,000 tons of commodities were offered in IME’s spot market on Wednesday.
