Iran Mercantile Exchange witnessed a bustling trading day on Monday as various commodities were offered in the spot market, including iron ore for export purposes.

As IME reported, the export trading floor recorded the offering of 55,000 tons of granulated iron ore by Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company priced at $32 per ton. The company announced that based on market demand, another 55,000 tons of the same commodity were in stock for potential customers. Some 21,500 tons of bitumen 6070 were also offered on the floor by local suppliers.

Close to 46,200 tons of hot-rolled steel C at the base price of 14,350 rials per kg, 53,200 tons of hot-rolled steel B at the base price of 14,100 rials per kg, 7,000 tons of cold-rolled steel B6, 1,000 tons of galvanized sheet G, and 4,000 tons of tin-plated sheet were offered by Mobarakeh Steel Company on the industrial and mining trading floor, which also saw the offering of 12,000 tons of rebar and I-beam bundles and 1,540 tons of rebar A3-16 by Isfahan Steel Company.

The oil and petrochemical trading floor played host to 76,050 tons of various grades of bitumen offered by Pasargad Oil Company and Jey Oil Company as well as 21,150 tons of polymers, including polyethylene, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene and polypropylene.

Elsewhere, the agricultural trading floor featured 16,000 tons of wheat, 6,860 tons of white sugar, 2,000 tons of soybean meal flakes and 2,000 tons of virgin vegetable oil.

Overall, more than 373,000 tons of commodities were offered in IME’s spot market on Monday.
