A bustling day at Iran Mercantile Exchange saw the offering of various commodities on the oil and petrochemical trading floor on Sunday.
As IME reported, the floor played host to close to 47,000 tons of vacuum bottom from four refining companies, 33,000 tons of lube-cut oil, 45,800 tons of various grades of bitumen, 1,900 tons of sulfur and 3,658 tons of petrochemicals, including styrene butadiene rubber, nitric acid, benzene, polybutadiene rubber, triethanolamine, monoethylene glycol, normal butadiene rubber and monoethanol amine.
The export trading floor featured 5,110 tons of various grades of bitumen and 100 tons of roof insulation for potential customers overseas.
The industrial and mining trading floor saw the offering of 4,000 tons of copper cathode, priced at 169,141 rials per kg, by National Iranian Copper Industries Company. The company also supplied 3,500 tons of copper wire at the base price of 176,080 rials per kg, 20,000 tons of low-graded copper, 100 tons of molybdenum sulfur as well as 12 tons of precious metal concentrates. In addition, World Copper Company offered 270 tons of copper wire priced at 176,630 rials per kg, while 550 tons of rebar bundles and 1,210 tons of I-beam offered by Azarbaijan Steel Company and Esfahan Steel Company respectively.
Elsewhere, 4,000 tons of durum wheat, 3,000 tons of white sugar and 2,000 tons of corn were offered on the agricultural trading floor.
IME’s secondary market played host to 500 tons of tomato paste at the base price of 24,500 rials per kg.
All in all, more than 176,000 tons of commodities were supplied at IME’s sport and secondary markets on Sunday.
