Iran Mercantile Exchange played host to 4,200 tons of steel sections offered by Mobarakeh Steel Company and 660 tons of rebar A3-8 on the industrial and mining trading floor on Monday. As IME reported, the export trading floor featured 5,940 tons of various grades of bitumen for potential customers overseas. The oil and petrochemical trading floor saw the offering of 75,095 tons of commodities. Elsewhere, 10,800 tons of corn, durum wheat, imported rice and white sugar were supplied on the agricultural trading floor. With the western sanctions–imposed against Iran over its nuclear energy program–poised to be lifted following last week’s nuclear deal, the IME is gearing up for a boom on its export trading floor.
