In June 2015 Iran Mercantile Exchange played host to the trading of 1.9 million tons of various commodities worth more than $981 million in spot and secondary markets. According IME, 1.02 million tons of various commodities worth more than $492 million were traded on the oil and petrochemical trading floor; 766,000 tons of different products worth approximately $421 million on metals and minerals trading floor, and about 138,000 tons of agricultural products worth $68 million on the agricultural trading floor. The export trading floor witnessed the trading of 48,000 tons of sulfur worth around $6 million, 202,000 of bitumen worth more than $76 million, 3,500 tons of insulation worth more than $1 million, as well as 205,000 of iron ore worth close to $6 million.
