ESC Quarterly Steel Exports Up 400%

Esfahan Steel Company exported 250,000 tons of products during the first quarter of the current Iranian year (started March 21), which indicates a 400% growth compared to the same period last year, Foolad News reported. According to the company manager, Ardeshir Sa'd-Mohammadi, a 20% growth in production has been targeted for the current year while eight new plans are underway with an investment of 4 trillion rials ($136.2 million based on official exchange rate), one of which pertains to the manufacturing of rails through a contract with the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways.
