Iran Mercantile Exchange featured various types of steel products offered by local suppliers in the spot market on Wednesday.
Isfahan Steel Company offered 75,000 tons of I-beams priced at 14,600 rials per kg in addition to 6,444 tons of rebar bundles on the industrial and mining trading floor. Khuzestan Steel Company offered 10,000 tons of bloom with the base price of 12,020 rials per kg. The floor also played host to 15,500 tons of mixed-rebar bundles as well as 2,100 tons of metallurgical coke.
The agricultural trading floor witnessed the offering of 11,000 tons of white sugar, 4,000 tons of wheat, 3,865 tons of rice and 350 tons of corn.
The oil and petrochemical trading floor played host to 19,460 tons of chemicals. Orto-xylene, monomer styrene, acetic acid, terephthalic acid, linear alkyl benzene, industrial urea, isobutanol, triethylene glycol, m-xylene, carbonate calcium, monoethylene glycol, monomer vinyl acetate and normal butadiene were the chief commodities listed on the board. The floor also played host to 47,600 tons of various grades of bitumen, 500 tons of sulfur and 280 tons of argon.
About 23,700 tons of bitumen were also offered on IME’s export trading floor.
All in all, close to 280,000 tons of different commodities were supplied in IME’s spot market on Wednesday.
