IME Plays Host to 292KT of Commodities

Around 292,000 tons of commodities were offered on Iran Mercantile Exchange’s different trading floors on Tuesday, IME reported.

More than 80,180 tons of various grades of polymers, including styrene butadiene rubber, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, polyethylene terephthalate, linear polyethylene, high-density polyethylene, polystyrene, chemical polypropylene and polyvinyl chloride were offered by 19 local petrochemical complexes on the oil and petrochemical trading floor. In addition, the floor witnessed the offering of 42,200 tons of bitumen and 16,000 tons of vacuum bottoms for local customers.

The export trading floor played host to 7,000 tons of sulfur lump, 20,850 tons of bitumen and 900 tons of roof insulation.

Iran Aluminum Company supplied 1,500 tons of aluminum billets 7-6063 and 1,000 tons of aluminum alloys ingots on the industrial and mining trading floor, with prices registering 7 to 17 percent decline. The floor also recorded the offering of 1,400 tons of aluminum alloy ingot of 99.75-percent purity by Almahdi Hormozal Aluminum Company, 3,014 tons of rebar bundles by Khorasan Steel Company and 200 tons of metallurgical coke by Armand Coke Making & Tar Refinery Company.

The agricultural trading floor featured 94,590 tons of corn, 9,475 tons of rice, 6,000 tons of white sugar, 4,000 tons of durum wheat and 20 kg of saffron.

Finally, 2,500 tons of scrap metals, as well as 8 tons of empty barrels were offered by the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways on IME’s secondary market.
