Sunday trade at the Iran Mercantile Exchange saw close to 369,000 tons of commodities in the spot market, offered by local suppliers, IME public relations reported.

The industrial and mining trading floor recorded a bustling trading day and played host to 4,000 tons of copper cathode by National Iranian Copper Industries Company (NICIC), priced at 201,087 rials per kg. In addition, another cargo of copper cathode, priced at 208,154 rials per kg, 20,000 tons of low-graded copper, 100 tons of molybdenum sulfur, and 12 tons of precious metals concentrates were offered by the NICIC. Moreover, Copper World Company offered 270 tons of copper wire, with the base price of 208,704 rials per kg. The board also witnessed the offering of 30,000 tons of I-beam supplied by Isfahan Steel Company, and priced at 14,500 rials per kg, as well as 330 tons of I-beam size 18, with the base price of 15,100 rials per kg. Finally, 3,300 tons of rebar was offered to the potential customers on the same floor. Close to 187,690 tons of corn, 9,985 tons of rice, 4,000 tons of durum wheat, and 1,000 tons of white sugar were offered on the agricultural trading floor.

The oil and petrochemical trading floor recorded the offering of 23,718 tons of petrochemical commodities, 23,000 tons of vacuum bottoms, 22,000 tons of lube-cut oil, 1,700 tons of sulfur, and 23,500 tons of bitumen 6070.

The Islamic Republic of Iran Railways offered 400 tons of scrap metals on IME’s secondary market.
