As Tehran International Permanent Fairground, the most famous exhibition site in the capital, is preparing to host the 15th Iran Telecom Exhibition later in October, officials say more than 20 academic seminars and technical workshops will also be held on the sidelines of the fair.
The gatherings are set to focus on a range of IT and telecom fields including the 5th generation of cellular phones; content distribution networks, new global approaches to technology management, IT knowledge network, cloud computing and its simulation environment, and the internet and its security challenges, IRNA reported on Tuesday.
Other key topics at the seminars would include optical fiber in the high capacity transmission network, architecture of traffic production systems for security assessment purposes, framework for choosing Managed Security Services Providers (MSSP), user management systems, Gigabit Passive Optical Network tests, and challenges of designing digital satellite, as well as common trends in security service management.
‘Iran Telecom 2014’ which will be held on October 6-9 is aimed at helping create proper grounds for transfer of the technology to the country and providing traders with further options to expand their relations with foreign nations.
According to the report, nearly 280 domestic and foreign companies representing at least 15 countries including Italy, Slovenia, Austria, the UAE, Germany, Taiwan, Turkey, the Czech Republic, China, Japan, South Korea, Canada, Poland, Malaysia, and India will attend the event to offer their latest achievements in communication, telecommunications, and information technology.
The exhibition is set to be held in an area of over 30,000 square meters. The products that will be on display include antenna and telecom cables, satellite communication technology and equipment, evaluation and measurement equipment, systems and technologies for mobile phones, SMS technology, telecom and IT technologies, switching, paging technology and systems, wireless systems and equipment, electronic and mechanic equipment and systems for telecom and information industry, multimedia systems and equipment.
